Scoop for primary school children

In the competition to find the official Douglas ice cream flavours Alicia Nash, 11, from Kewaigue School came up with Bubblemellow, a combination of bubblegum-flavoured ice cream and marshmallows, and Graihagh Morgan, four, from Onchan School devised Manx Mess, white chocolate ice cream with chunks of strawberry and meringue.

The competition was judged by the Mayor of Douglas Councillor Stan Cain, Ian Davison and development manager Chris Pycroft and licked into shape by Douglas Development Partnership in association with Davison’s Ice Cream.

The winners’ classes were treated to free ice creams when the Davison’s Ice Cream van came to call at the two schools.
