The Mayor and Mayoress, Councillor John Skinner JP and his wife, Gill, were among guests at a special screening of The Audience starring Dame Helen Mirren at the Studio Theatre, Ballakermeen High School.

The event was organised in association with the Isle of Man Arts Council to celebrate three years of live screening at the Studio Theatre which had attracted more than 9000 people, and also to celebrate the 90th birthday of Her Majesty The Queen.
The event also provided the occasion for Arts Council chairman Geoff Corkish MBE MLC to announce the appointment of talented local performer Michelle Jamieson, 18, as arts ambassador for the Isle of Man.
