Civic welcome at Noble's Park for Royal visitor

Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal arrived by helicopter in Noble's Park at the start of a one-day visit to the Island on Tuesday July 21st and was welcomed by His Excellency the Lieutenant Governor Mr Adam Wood and Her Worship the Mayor, Councillor Sara Hackman JP.

The Princess Royal spent the morning touring the Triumph Actuation Systems factory in Onchan and later unveiled a plaque in St German's Cathedral, Peel marking her visit. She is patron of a £10 million appeal fund to renovate and extend the cathedral and had come to the Island to view progress.
