Council to hold one-minute silence to remember Tunisia beach attack

Thursday, 02 July 2015 14:27

Douglas Borough Council is to hold a one-minute silence at 12noon on Friday July 3rd in memory of those killed in the Tunisia beach terrorist attack.

The Council will sound the start and end of the minute’s silence in support of the Island and UK-wide act of remembrance one week on from the moment of the attack.

Council Leader Councillor David Christian MBE JP said he hoped residents, those working in the town and visitors would support the Council by observing the one-minute silence.
