Douglas beach looks out over Douglas Bay and faces towards Conister Rock, the Tower of Refuge and Douglas harbour. It is a popular spot near to the town centre, shops, hotels, cafés and restaurants.

 

 

 

 

 

The adjacent promenade features seating, gardens, a playpark for children and public conveniences.

 


 

Frequently Asked Questions 

Are dogs allowed on the beach?

Between the 1st May and 30th September dogs are not permitted within the hours of 10am to 6pm. Failure to observe this restriction set out in the Council's bye-laws will attract a £50 fixed penalty notice.

  

When is it high tide?

Who cleans and maintains the beach?

The beach is regularly patrolled and inspected by Douglas borough wardens. The Council also undertakes regular cleaning of the beach.
